A fixed base operator was experiencing air bubbles
and loss of prime in their jet fuel underground
tank suction piping. FRC performed a tank entry
under confined space permit conditions to diagnose
and rectify the situation. FRC identified a loose
threaded connection where the floating suction
exited the tank top as the source of the air leak
and tightened the connection. While inside the
tank, FRC cleaned it and inspected the lining.
