FRC prepared detailed plans and specifications for
the upgrade and change in service of two
10,000-gallon fiberglass USTs and associated
dispensers and suction pumping systems at a school
district facilities service center. One gasoline
tank was changed from gasoline to diesel fuel
service. FRC specified an electronic leak
detection system and a card reader system and
interfaced them with the facility computer
network. When the piping replacement identified a
release, FRC performed UST corrective action,
including monitoring well installation,
groundwater sampling, soil sampling, site
characterization report preparation, aquifer
non-use determination, remedial action plan
preparation, attainment demonstration, and well
abandonment.
